As the founder of Your Best Pathway to Health, I want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about our organization. Pathway to Health, as it’s better known, is an entirely volunteer-based nonprofit organization that provides free medical, dental, eye care and surgical services to uninsured and underinsured populations. All are welcome and no identification or documentation is required.

As a Christian organization and a humanitarian entity of the Seventh-day Adventist church, we believe it is our privilege to follow Jesus’ example by offering opportunities for whole person, physical, mental and spiritual health to each patient and guest.

 

Pathway to Health began as a grass roots movement in 2014 with its first event in San Francisco and Oakland. This event was an amazingly blessed with success and led to further events in San Antonio, Spokane, Los Angeles, West Virginia and Phoenix. To date, in only 4 years, nearly 30,000 people have received free services worth over $125 million administered by over 12,000 volunteers.

 

Pathway events are giant collaborative endeavors between many partners and all have been co-sponsored by the local mayor’s office and other governmental agencies. To learn more read the letters from former mayor’s offices.

 

Although our events function like a large hospital on wheels, there is a special uniqueness to them that results in each patient feeling genuinely loved and cared for. This uniqueness is highly valued by our organization and is the reason we go to such lengths to facilitate additional simple measures to improve the event, including music therapy, a lunch meal, cooking demonstrations, beautician and barber services, clothing distribution, legal services, chaplaincy services and much, much more.
